Open Question: Does he like me or are we friends?

I like this guy named nick, who i've known since i was five, and we hang out all the time and seem to be good friends.He loves to laugh with me and likes to make me laugh, and since i swim year round and he doesn't, but hes still the fastest guy my age on the summer team, and we always compare times. he always makes fun of me for beating his times, teasing me by saying things like "crud girl, where are the steriods?" but then he laughs and you can tell he was just joking. My friends told him i like him, and he didnt change the way he acts around me at all. Then at a swim meet, when his friend really hurt my feelings, he stood up for me and made sure i was okay, and we go to a ice cream store called goodberrys after every swim meet as a team, and this year he started asking me if every time if i was going. So my friends asked him if he likes me,(so i think he knows i like him but im not sure) and he answered with a shrug, I didn't tell them to ask him either... Well he didn't treat me different until 3 days ago(he found out 2 weeks ago) where a bunch of people when to a baseball game and we sat near each other and he didn't even say hi, even though he glanced up in my direction every once in a while... And then last night, one of his closest friends(who might like me) came up and told me nick doesn't like me, and then about 30 mins later someone else came up and said they had overheard him talking to someone saying he did so idk wats going on! One of the coaches yelled at her and she rolled her eyes and went to change.. So she came back out and told he friend Macy to sit down and watch, and she went to class. In class we were working on high balls… and Sara was playing stupid and asked Kyle for help. So he came over and asked “Hey Sara, what’s up?” She started flirting with him and asked for some help on catching again… and Kyle knew what was up.. She was flirting big time. He kept looking at Rachel to see if she was looking, and Sara would make him laugh, and they just seemed like they were having a great time together like he should have been with Rachel. I'm currently revising the plot for my story Hey There Delilah (just a working title). I'm not sure which idea sounds best. They're basically the same, except, in #1, Lilah & Chuck are best friends and in #2 they do not know each other. Open Question: Should I keep on playing??? Please Help!?

I have had a big problem this year. This past yr I played Jv on my schools baseball team. This year we had a new coach. He was a major prick. Anyways, he was wayyy too competitive. He would call us names and be a total ass. He would yell at us a lot and made you feel like you couldnt screw up at all. It got to the point where you could not possibly have fun. I dreaded playing. I have been great all my life. Always have been the best player on my team, but I would get so nervous that I'd screw up, that I would screw up. I would get extremely nervous actually. I hated going out there and playing. And then I would start getting benched, and made fun of by the other kids. All the other guys on the team are major douchebags. I couldnt have fun at all, and it made me sooo stressed. My dad saw how the coach acted and was not happy. I pleaded for him not to say anything, but he did it anyway behind my back. Next day he went to the Athletic Director telling him whats up. The coach got angrier and acted more like a dick. He started threatening saying "I am pretty sure how it was, and they are not going to be happy". He started saying things like this every day, and he got worse on the field. It turned to the point where I would not play at all and I just felt like quitting. I told my parents how I felt, but they yelled and yelled and yelled at me that I have to play still. That I have to ply forever. Now the season is over, but I still wake up in night sweats thinking about this. I still get stressed, and now I think I am depressed. I have lossed interest in many things, one of them being baseball. I am playing on my summer league team, and am doing very well. Its so much less stressful, and I dont have to worry about anything. I am playing like I always have now. But next year, Im going to have to tryout for Varsity, and I probably wont make it because of this coach. Then I'd have to play for him again, or maybe even just get cut totally. What should I do??? The athletic director doesn't do anything. He just cares about Football, basketball, and lacrosse. My parents are forcing me to play still, and I have gotten so stressed out about this that I am having trouble sleeping now. more

My little brothers all star team (age 10) is undefeated and they are playing a really tough team Thursday, their parents are supposed to be really spirited and loud. Dibiase with the early advantage hitting a baseball slide on Orton to the outside. Action leads back into the ring where Orton reverses an irish whip, hits a clothesline and begins to systematically pick apart Dibiase, stomping on his arms and legs. A guy I dated for only a month last year recently tried being friends for the second time. He invited me out to a club with some friends and we all had a good time. Then I suggested visiting a friend of mine later that evening and we all went. While I was going around doing my own thing, my friend Carl, who hadn't met my ex before, asked my ex what his name was. When my ex told him his name my friend said, "Oh, you're one of the baseball players..." because I had told my friend about the team my ex had been on. He hadn't been talking to me at all after that and another friend of mine told me that my ex had talked to him about it. Apparently he took offense to the fact that this guy knew anything about him and assumed I had been talking about him from that statement. Now, he's cut off all contact with me and seems upset about the whole thing. Should I try and make ammends with him? I like this guy named nick, who i've known since i was five, and we hang out all the time and seem to be good friends. He loves to laugh with me and likes to make me laugh, and since i swim year round and he doesn't, but hes still the fastest guy my age on the summer team, and we always compare times. he always makes fun of me for beating his times, teasing me by saying things like "crud girl, where are the steriods?" but then he laughs and you can tell he was just joking. I remember a long time ago I played this game which I would like to find again. The main menu had a big image(a logo maybe) and to the right of it was the menu options. When you create your team you name each player then you the screen changes to a baseball stadium where your players are practicing (at this time they suck and they commit a lot of errors). You drag them around so they can practice different skills. When you play games there are "live", so you watch the game as it progresses. I think it might have been online multiplayer but maybe not. Resolved Question: What's this movie about ratcatchers?

I vaguely remember seeing a film that had something to do with ratcatchers. I know its not much to go on but I was young when I saw it and Its popped into my head so Id like to try and track it down. I saw it on tv in the early 1990's, it was definately before 1994. I believed it followed a group of people hunting down rats in sewers. I think they used baseball or cricket bats to kill them. I think they drove a navy blue van or 4x4... Possibly a Landrover Defender 110 or Series. I dont know if it was British or not and I cant remember much of the plot, only that it revolved around a team of ratcatchers. I thought the film was called "Ratcatchers", but after looking for it online its either not called that, or the 1999 film of the same name is taking over all the search engines. Hi guys. like i said my name is drew and im 13 years old and way over wight. im about 5'4" and weigh about 165. ive been trying to work out and i just ant find a way to really do anything. i mean i start but i cant get to do it on a regular basis. i play baseball and im pretty good. ive always been on all star teams and travel teams and ive even won a state championship in baseball. but now with people my age getting bigger stronger and faster im finding that just plain talent isn't going to last me, i need to work. i want to lose around 40 pounds and get quicker and faster. i need some tips, and guidance and something to get me going and keep me going. Me or my family cant afford to get like a personal trainer or anything like that. What i was hoping to have happen is hear what some of you people did to lose weight or something like that. Or maybe just some motivation. but the bottom line is i want to just start doing something. im tired of being fat. ive been overweight since Iowass about 6 or 7. it is just so hard to deal with all of the jokes and even when i just see people look i just seetheiri r reaction and that hurts the most. I moved to Michigan all the way from Vega Baja Puerto Rico. I felt weird in the new school I was in, my English skills weren’t the best, but I tried. Every girl in the school looked like the opposite of me, they were tall, blond, brown eyes, and with an American accent. I on the other hand am very short, practically permanently tan, blue eyes, and a pretty heavy Puerto Rican accent. And it was terrible too because I was the only new person coming into the 8th grade. I felt a little more comfortable because I showed up to school in the 2nd semester, right when softball was starting. To me softball was like a comfort zone. Only one girl had talked to me since I had been there at the time. Her name was Amanda. We actually got very close very fast. We were constantly with each other. When softball tryouts came along. I thought I had the correct date memorized, but I didn’t. I accidentally showed up at the baseball tryouts. The coach was questioning me about what positions I play, I told him catcher. I kept trying to explain to him that I meant to go to the softball tryouts instead, but he said that he wanted to see how well I could play. I was very nervous being in a room with a bunch of guys, but I tried to stay calm. Apparently the coach liked me; he put me on the team roster and declared me the team captain. When I showed up to the first practice, I noticed the short stop. His name was Jake. He was actually attractive, we kept talking over a period of time and eventually he asked me out. When my friend Amanda found out, she was less then happy. She wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. I pretended like it didn’t bother me, but oh gosh did it. Its not like she had a “crush” or anything on him. I had no idea why it bothered her so much. Until I actually thought about it, they had the same last name, and I have seen them talking to each other often. I felt like an idiot, it was her brother. And it was even worse, because I was over he house quite often. Her mom hated me for it too, but her dad seems to love me. Now I am a senior in high school and her brother and me are still together, and actually are engaged. He asked me if it was okay if he invited his sister to the wedding, of course I said yes. But I am terrified to see her again. She wants to make a speech all about me during the wedding. I have no idea what to do. I can guarantee you that she will get up there and say horrible things about me. Do I just let it by me? Or should I say something to Jake or someone? I still really have no idea why the whole thing upset her so much, I didn’t even know it was her brother at first. Have any ideas as to why she hates me? more

Why are American boxers criticized for not fighting more abroad? I liken this to the NBA. The best basketball players in the world try their best to play in the NBA. The top American ballers don't go to Europe to play; they go to the NBA. Why? Money, more exposure. Same with boxing. When it was profitable for ALI-Frazier, ALI-Foreman to fight outside of the US they did it. It had something to do with the ability to televise it in millions of more places than if those fights were in the US. And I've heard people complain that Roy Jones didn't fight the best guys. Well, how'd he unify the light heavyweight division? He had every world title there was for light-heavyweight, and He and Michael Spinks are the only 2 light heavyweights in history to unify the division. Now if the complaint is that people from overseas weren't being recognized as contenders, then you have a beef with the Organizations (IBF, WBO,WBC), but Roy or Bernard can't choose whom the sanctioning body selects as the #1 contender. If they don't fight their contender (as named by the IBF, etc.)within X amount of months, they forfeit their title. How is that the boxer's fault? No one can fight everyone; new guys will be coming when the older ones want to retire. Calzaghe will be criticized for not fighting Dawson or Froch. I wish it weren't so, but the US (las vegas in general) is where the big fights are. That's where the money is. There's professional baseball in Japan, so why is Ichiro over in the US playing? At the same time, Toney was the super middleweight champion, who was more of a contender than Roy Jr. If there was some mythical badass of a middleweight in the 90's, I haven't heard of him, whether he was from Austria, Russia, Ghana, or Puerto Rico. First let me say I am a huge Braves baseball fan and have watched them close for the past 15 years. But over the past few years I think they have really screwed them selves by trading away young talent for players that were supposed to guy them the push to the playoffs. But these players brought in have not been able to get them to the fall classic and have turned in to rental players. The braves have also traded away good players to give young players a chance that in my opinion have not lived up to expectation. 7/31/05 Braves trade away pitching prospects Zack Miner and Romon Colon 7/29/06 Acquired RHP Danys Baez and INF Willy Aybar from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for INF Wilson Betemit; Baez left after the season signing with Baltimore. The following year Aybar did not play while dealing with injury and possible substance abuse.the next off-season he was traded to the Rays for a player who to my knowledge is no longer with the team.
