I posted this a few weeks ago, I wrote it late one night while intoxicated, it was a little rough, I've tightened the bars up, I plan on doing audio for this, let me know what you think... Verse 1) It’s no joke, I’ve crash landed my plane in that place again this planet’s forsakin’ him, he knows he’s got greatness within’ it’s just that the fakeness in men is as ageless as sin so the trust is gone he’s done wrong for so long it maked the angst begin pills absorbed in so those things end, yeah, they’re changin’ him he’s scarred like shanks in skin, his emotions marching like tanks and men in this eternal war, see I’m him and I’ve been burned before but I returned for more, seared and scorched in pain and yearn for yours cause my reflection is reflectin’ a resurrection I’m in progression, forever evolving suffering several problems that muthafucks suggestin’ that I’ll never solve’em so I’m abandoned left for dead in this room of solitude lost, confused, like damn dude the shrooms you chewed swallowed you I know what I got to do, pick the lock and escape the cage cause with every tick and tock of the clock I cant’ negate the rage I rape the page, I cum threw my pen onto the loose leaf the only thing that truly soothe’s me and keeps me improving (Verse 2) You couldn’t walk in my shoes they’re scuffed from scrappin’ the rough pavement, I’ve had enough complainin’ just save it, let’s say that... You could see my dreams in color as I do nothin’ but the redrum in piru time to let another guide you to suffer as I do, and it’s such a revival yeah survival so I clutch a rifle a dutch and a bible and as such I’m not liable not try able but my trials grew, to be judged by others but the jury’s strangled but they’ll hurry to hang you if you’ve rose with demon’s and buried angels I got a blurry angle on life in the express lane prayin’ for a net gain investing in a chess game in my own depressed brain but no checks came just me stressed, strained, trying to refrain from being viewed a statistic I use my linguistics’ to spit a flu like sickness that spreads and spews to solicit this vision in my mind’s eye where we have no hell oh well I’m sublime high I’m about to Bradley Nowell but to no avail sadly souls dwell, in the depths of the deepest parts of the galaxy it’s hard to find yourself when your heart’s lost and you can’t salvage thee reality in this fallacy... called life but the light is what I’m bout to see (Verse 3) It’s like my heart and my thoughts are in constant confliction I’m trying to concur addiction can you confer the contradiction it’s like I prefer friction but but I’m wishin I could break the stigma I can’t in vision god not forsakin’ this sinner I swear this hate’s an enigma I’m astounded resembling an oracle in obscurity of thought that’s enigmatic, I’ve been manic but still standing as my purity’s lost since maturity’s brought, darkness I can’t seem to harness I’ve internally fought demons screaming for freedom if they start seceding then eternity’s the cost it’s like I’m urgently crossed, like the crucifixion of Christ you should listen to insight this is a true depiction of my life this is real emotion, got dealt a shitty hand hoping I could deal’em over just reached the next plato but my soul’s sober so I shotgun the blunt to kill that notion that these 4 walls are gonna close in so sin can smother my free spirit ice pumps threw a frigid heart into my veins others freeze near it you can hear it when stuff these lyrics down my own throat like pills that’s the cure it’s my release cause I stand alone in this room still obscure waiting to die in peace here is the instrumental-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fg5eRxR5nY hip hop cop...sure post the question...you're also in the tournament tonight right? xpoondiggy or wtf ever your name is...feel free to walk out in front of traffic...keep posting your bullsh!t comments it's your right but while you're doing that I'm actually doing something constructive. moreResolved Question: Real Hip-Hop Heads- 5 Mics?

Do you think Dr. Dre Detox will be as good or better than 2001? You have to look at this him and Mel-Man did the last album 50-50, and any song Dr. Dre and Mel-Man produced togeather has been timeless. But rumor is Hi-Tek will be doing the 50-50 thing with Dre this time, and don't get me wrong I love Hi-Tek, I loved Talib Kweli's reflection eternal, and if all of his beats were as good as they were on that album i'd be excited, but after that album he's hasn't made beats to the same caliber again. It seems like he gave his 100% on the beats for Blackstar and Reflection Eternal but after that it seems like he gives maybe his 60% besides The Sun God and Ryder Music(loved the beat not a big fan of 50). But again Dre is a perfectionist and he's been working on this album the better half of the decade, so I hope he makes Hi-Tek give his 100%. Another thing is you know 50 cent, Young Buck or Lloyd Banks are going to be on it, which worries me because of their lackluster lyrics, flow and style. The song one of them or some might not be a total disaster if they only do a ghostwritten chorus (written by someone of higher lyrical talent). Eminem's going to be on it, and he's gone down hill lyrically significantly since the Marshal Mathers LP, but I hope he steps up his game and brings back that Slim Shady persona he hasn’t had since the Marshal Mathers LP. Hey I’m just being real, I hope it’s good and I hope it takes the industry to a whole new level like The Chronic or 2001 did. But what do you think? moreResolved Question: Is Illmatic really the best rap album ever and if so why is it?
I have personally seen The Realness,Reflection Eternal,Moment of Truth,Only Built for Cuban Linx,Liquid Swords,Doe Or Die,All Eyez on Me, Reasonable Doubt, 36 Chambers,Blazing Arrow, E 1999 Eternal, Lone Catalyst's Hip Hop, Tha Streetz iz a Mutha, Rip the Jacker, Immortal Technique's Revolutionary 1 & 2, and Masters of the Universe all compared to Illmatic. Personally I enjoyed Doe Or Die, Liquid Swords, Blazing Arrow, Revolutionary 1 & 2, and Obie Trice Cheers all as much as I enjoyed Illmatic. I know Cheers doesnt match Illmatic's lyricism but it is so much fun to listen to.Personally I think if you let it grow on you the beats on Liquid Swords are better and if you really break it down, the lyrics on both Beneath the Surface and Liquid Swords sometimes surpass illmatic. Eighty percent of Doe Or Die is on par with Illmatic beatwise and flow. The Realness comes close to Illmatic at times.Rip The Jacker and Revolutionary 1 & 2 have lyrics that in a way surpass Illmatic's. moreEternal Reflection Lyrics Links

A moment of self-reflection. Perhaps it’s appropriate that I’ve had a Michael Jackson song stuck in my head for the past week.
