(or something else) You have to use his bathroom and you take a mean dump and it smells really bad. Ive recently moved into a tenancy which the landlady said hadnt had nobody living in since summer last year. Now we've had a few problems with water leaking etc so we called the landlady who sent private plumbers out who found in the pipes: toys, sanitary pads, pens, knives and forks... I havent put any of these things doen the toilet and the landlady is now sending me the invoice of £580!!! Ive recently moved into a Privately owned house in which I am renting. We've had a few problems with water leaking and spraying out of a pipe in the garden, this continued to build until we couldn't flush the chain or empty the bath. We contacted the landlady who's organised for private plumbers to come out and sort the problem out. Turns out, the blockage is due to childrens toy guns, sanitary pads, plastic balls, knives and forks, lids of jars and a bloo toilet freshener holder. None of these things are or were mine, they are obviously from the previous tenant. Since moving here we asked permission to put a lock on the outside of the bathroom door to stop my 2 year old from messing about in the bathroom obviously as its not the best place for a baby to be. Now because the pipes were blocked by toys and stuff, the landlady is sending the invoice to me of £580. I know I signed the tenancy agreement when I moved here but I didn't sign to pay for any previous blockages. Can anyone help me out here? I've tried telling the landlady that none of what was pulled from those pipes was mine, but she says she can't prove that and when I signed the agreement I took on all that. Right to start off, im 17 male and from the UK. Last year i was depressed for about 6months last year quite badly, i tried taking my own life twice and failed, dropped from 11stone to 7 stone in 3 months and am about 6ft. My girlfriend bought an upstairs flat that is in a 4 in a block style building 2 years ago, her downstairs neighbour is in his late 50's early 60's and he does not own his flat, he rents to council or housing not sure which, I do not stay with my girlfriend permanent, just stay over now and again, I also have a well behaved border collie who is very quiet and does not bark unless the door goes, and we make sure he does not make excess noise also, ie running around or playing etc he is very well behaved. So when i stay with her, the dog does too, Me and my girlfriend are a quiet couple, we do not have party's or friends in her flat, the tv is always down after a certain time and we are considerate of our neighbours. The first time i noticed a problem was late one night, her downstairs neighbour came home drunk approached his front door and the dog barked once as he does when a starnger walks up the stairs, her window was open and I heard him shout " shut up f=;@kin dog" or along those lines, he defo used the f word, we have heard from other neighbours that he has been known to have a drink problem, anyway that i ignored because he was drunk. So a few months later he chapped my girlfriends door when she was at her work, when i answered the door, he explained to me that he is getting no sleep because in his words " He can hear us walking around the flat late at night" and that was wakening him up. Now my girlfriend has carpets and underlay, and as i said we are considerate with tv volume etc, but me and my girlfriend tend to goto bed late, so obviously we will walk to the toilet or to the kitchen or the bedroom after midnight, I asked him what he would like us to do about it? and basically never got anywhere with him, so i told him that i will tell my partner as it is her house, when my girlfriend got home i explained to her, and she chapped his door and told him that she pays alot for her mortgage and we are considerate and that she or me would not be tip toeing around her house. So after that her neighbour has taken about himself to thump and bang around his house making excess noise, and especially when I stay with her. He isnt doing it during the night mostly during the day and evening, I would like some other peoples point of view, or opinion on what we should do, I just feel that complaining about someone walking to the toiletor whereever is waking you up and causing him to not get any sleep, is a bit over the top, and that he is making alot more noise on purpose because we wont tip toe, or not walk around, I mean are we suppose to goto bed when he does? lol We have heard from other neighbours he has had problems with prevoius residents in the flat before us, Am i doing something wrong here, and what can be done about his behavouir, I have lived in flats all my life and you have to accept that you will hear people below or above you, but this man obviously expects silence, and he obviously doesnt like the dog( which i dont know why, he is qiuet as can be, unless the door goes as i said, I guess i am worried about my girlfiend when im not staying with her, i believe this man is not right in the head, and when he drinks obviously turns into a nasty person, so i am worried for her or what he is capable of etc When he complained he told me that he is not in the best of health, so maybe this has something to do with why he is having problems sleeping, or being woken up easily, I stay in a flat myself and have a noisy neighbour who likes a drink above me, i hear them walking around, and more, during the night, but it does not affect my sleep, and i have never complained because it doesnt bother me, I think some people just have nothing better to do with there time other than complain, Am i over reacting here? does he have a valid complaint? what can be done to resolve this as i said he is thumping and banging doors furniture now alot, and i am worried about his state of mind, and that he has bad feeling towards us? My friend has a son who is almost 3 and yet he cannot speak... he can say hi, bye & that's about all. He cannot string a sentence together or even ask for a simple thing like juice instead he loses his temper until you figure out what it is he want.. I have to go to new york this weekend by flying. I am not in the United States now. New york city just have two schools have students have suspected swine flu even some students never been to Mexico. I got a puppy last week. During the day we have to leave him in the house for a few hours whilst we are at work, school etc. Anyway this may sound horrible but when we got home today we noticed he had poo dried into his hair & around that area. I only noticed when i saw my poor puppy was having trouble trying to poo. So then i realised he had dry poo blocking that area. Hi, I have rescued two cats and obviously need to get rid of the used litter. I used to scoop the poo and put it down the toilet and bin the rest in a plastic bag. However, my boyfriend quite reasonably pointed out that the loo will get blocked very soon. I have put all the contents to the bin and he said I can not do that, as he used to do it a year ago with his dog's and the council sent him warning letter that they will stop collecting his rubbish. I can put the used litter in the bin, but that leaves me with the actual poo. How does the council know that there is poo in the rubbish we put out? Do they employ someone for that? Anyway, I do collect the poo in scented bags, collect them in a special small bin, clean it out with bleach and take them out to outdoor dog bin but it is quite far to go and impossible to do every single time. For privacy I'm going to call him Jordan. I've been friends with Jordan since year 3 (For people not in the UK we've been friends since we were around 7 - 8 years old) when he came to my school. I didn't like him at first but our mums are best friends and so I saw him a lot and he became my friend. When I was 12 he moved away but I saw him once every month because we went to visit (he lives about 3 hours away) and we talked over webcam once or twice a week and spoke on msn every day. I've just come back from another visit and don't plan to go back again. When I got there, he was out with friends (as usual) when he got back we we talked about what had happened at our schools and stuff. Then he went on the internet and showed me his bebo and we talked to his friends. He told me about his new girlfriend and kept going on about how pretty she was which was fine cos he usually did that when I went round there. I just sort of listen - enough to make it seem like im listening, because he says the same thing every time I visit. Then he started making comments about my weight and looks and how ugly and fat I am compared to his girlfriend. I basically walked out and in my temper I think I left a hole in his door (I think I need anger management Lol) .I went to look after my little sister and his younger brother (his younger brother has a disability and is 11 and my sister is 9 and has OCD). Then the next day, he comes up to me and asks if I'm going into town with him to meet his friends. I felt like saying I'd rather stick my head down the toilet and flush it but I took deep breaths and just said no, I have to help look after my sister (it wasn't an excuse, my mum had asked me to help). After that, he started calling me lesbian, slut, etc.etc. For the rest of the days he acts really mean, he treats his little brother dirt and insults my little sister (she only as minor OCD) she's just a bit obsessed with hygeine. He then hangs around and acts like a weird geek crawling around on the floor going on about some video game, pretending to be a soldier because he can't find a computer game. Then he (I dont know how) gets onto my msn and looks at all my PRIVATE email. I know that I shouldn't be angry because if hacker's get on there they will see it but he is supposed to be one of my closest friends. Then he laughs at my youtube video's and comments on all the flaws of my best female friends. Then later comes to me for sympathy when his girlfriend dumps him because he told her about the situation and she didn't like it. They then got into an argument and she dumped him. When I didn't give him the time of day, he told me he was going to keep hacking into my msn etc and talk to all my friends and he generally had a big strop. The minute I got home I changed my passwords, and I do so everyday now to keep him from getting them. I've blocked him on msn and deleted him from any profiles I have. When he rings my mobile I decline it and when he rings home I tell my mum to tell him I'm busy or something. It's getting to the point where I want to tell him to stop bothering because it's obvious I'm avoiding him. Am I overreacting and what is up with him? He never used to be like this, it was always easy to have a laugh with him and mess about, now it's uncomfortable and he just insults me all the time. I know I'm not the most beautiful person in the world but I'm not ugly. It's not doing any good for my confidence. AAAHHH! After I made the hole in the door, the name calling etc got a lot worse, but I pretty much ignored him for the rest of the holiday, but he kept hanging around making fun of me. i had my 3rd cone biopsy last year after cin 3, doctor wanted to give a hysterectomy, but my hernia wrap tore and split my oesophagus which made me ill for over 6 months, so my consultant said she was not prepared to give me a hysterectomy at that time because my body couldnt cope with it, anyway back to the question, i only ever bleed if i strain to go to the toilet and then only bleed for about upto an hour, then i lose old black blood the next time i strain, well doctor has said that my womb is so scarred that that is why it cannot pass out, and wanted me to phone within a week to get a date for a hysterectomy, or to have the inside of my womb microwaved, of course if i get any more abnormal cells they can only get to the cells to do a smear test by knocking me out under general. basically is there any health worries if i do nothing. moreResolved Question: Noise and my neighbours!!?
I live in an apartment block in Spain, it's nice and in a beautiful, delightful area in a Spanish town. There are very few non Spanish people here in the area and I have always been happy with my lot. However two years ago a young couple bought the apartment above me and since then they have made life impossible. They did not live there full time until last year after they got married. They completely refurbished the place and did most of the work in summer when my friends and family visit me. They worked from 8am until 10.30pm and even when I asked them could they follow the community rules of stopping work between 2.30 until 5.30pm. They told me that they could do what they liked. They have had parties until 3.30 pm and they come in every Friday & Saturday night in the early hours. They then have showers, they flush the toilets at this time and wake me up constanly every weekend. She in particular walks around in high heels from the moment she gets up until she gets into bed eve3n to go to the toilet. I have tried to speak to them several times but they refuse to listen and have been abusive and have used several racial terms & insults. Telling me that "FOREIGNERS" are not welcome in the building, town or Spain. I'm an Irish national intitled to live and work in Europe as the Spanish can do in the EU!! Today is a holiday in many places in Southern Spain due to Andalucia Day and all the schools are closed. As I'm a teacher I have the day off and my wonderful nieghbours choose today to tear out all their fitted wardrobes.Not yesterday or any other day that I'm out and working but today with the full knowledge that I have today off!! When I went up to ask them how long it would take as I had invited people for lunch they said "All Day" and all weekend and shut the door. I' ve cancelled my lunch and I can't take any more of their racist remarks or their lack of understanding their noise makes. PLEASE what can I do??? My gerbils sister died yesterday so I need to keep her busy! Hi everyone, hopefully someone can help. I have an odd problem that I cant seem to get a resolution for. I have a Baxi Combi 80 eco and the apartment is a new build and this and the apartment are no more than 3.5yrs old. The apartment blocks set as follows: floor 1 has 2 apartments, I am on floor 2 and am the only apartment and then floor 3 also only has one apartment. Recently I have noticed the hot water not coming through as hot as it used to and if I turn on any cold tap the pressure drops so the hot water slows but the temperature remains warm not hot. However if I flush the toilet, for the time the toilet is re-filling the water stays on the high pressure and comes out hot like it used to and is meant to. Anyone know what could be the problem here? I got a Basset Hound from a rescue organisation four months ago. As anticipated he has some anxiety issues but overall has settled really well into our house. He is toilet trained during the day but despite taking him for a walk around the block prior to going to bed and him emptying his bladder and bowels he still soils during the night. Because we don't see him do it I'm not sure how I am able to intervene to support him stopping the behaviour - does anyone have any sensible suggestions? my rabbit chews on its cages at night. she is an indoor rabbit and her cage is this- http://www.petsathome.com/find/category-is-6+small+pets/breed-is-rabbit/product-is-20317/pgs-is-135 what she does is puts her teeth around the bars and shakes her head so there is a very large noise. it wakes every one up in the night and there not even near to my room. why is my rabbit doing this? is it because she is bored i do have lots of toys for her and she is spoiled rottern but could i be missing something? i breed rabbits but this has never happend before as she is my first indoor rabbit. her toys include 1.) a treat ball 2.) a flip and toss wool carrot 3.) a flip and toss rabbit head 4.) a rabbit bobble toy where she can chew the middle and the toy bounces back at her. 5.)hay rack wich is always filled with timothy hay 6.) a tunnel 7.) a toilet roll 8.) a wooden block 9.) she also has a bunny ka-bob which includes two types of gnawing blocks, mineral wheel and a loofa made for rabbits. 10.) she also has a hide out where she can go for pece and quiet. i always play with her out of her cage and she occasionally can run around my room when i have bunney proofed it. i aslo have a lead for her because she cannot run freely in my garden but to be honest i hardely use it for her. she sometimes can go in her run all day when the weater is nice because im afraid she might get cold because she is used to living indoors. so why does she do this then and how could i stop it a my mum is getting annoyed and said she might have to go outside again. I live in a block of flats, and whenever anyone flushes their toilet, it makes a loud groaning, rumbling sound. It used to stop when we opened the sink tap. however, now the noise doesn't seem to stop until the cistern is filled. Does anyone know what is causing this? Why is it affecting the whole building? I was at a party, a stupid party, my friend made me go with her because she needed someone to watch over her. I didn't like the feel of it from the first second i entered... It was full of these, disgusting, drunk boys from the public college in the city. I ended up drinking, I drank far too much, my god I regret doing that now, but I drank, I drank because it was the first party i had been to in over 6 months. I got extremely drunk, and I was in the toilet being slightly sick, i was about to get up and this boy was standing behind me, it was one who I was dancing with earlier. He asked me if I was ok and I guess as my pathetic stupid useless drunk self just said yes in that slurred horrible way you do. A week ago, My friend was beaten up by six girls in a public toilet, Her head was kicked in and all sorts, I feel like a coward. There was three of us with her, Myself, my boyfriend and my best friend. She went to the toilets with my best friend, The girls had a go at her, my friend then came up to me and my boyfriend who told us that she was in trouble. My boyfriend immediatly ran down, and i came a few seconds after, I heard screaming. I quickly realised that they were hurting her, and laughing at her pain. Feeling angry at this, I went to help. However, my boyfriend held me back, out of harms way, saying that I would get beaten up too. I didn't exactly care if i was hurt, I just wanted the screaming to stop, i wanted to help. Then I saw the girls coming out. I rushed into the toilets to find my friend, who'd locked herself in a cubical, I called her name, saying it was me. She was crying hysterically. then two of the girls came back in, a small one, and a tall one both about seventeen. The started having a go at me, backing me into a cubical, saying what the did to my friend, and how she deserved it, the taller one, who had a cigarette in her hand, threatened to put it out in my eye, but the smaller one said that they werent going to hit me, but if i phoned the police i was dead. My legs had turned to jelly, and i was sure they could see, i was determined not to cry in fear. The girls went back out and an eighteen year old that I knew came in. My boyfriend had thought they were hurting me, they were blocking him from coming in so he got help. I then managed to get my friend out of the cubicle, and the sight of her has given me nightmares ever since, she was begging me to go after them, and get them. But I was saying I couldn't, the ambulance came, and the police too. she's alright now, but I still have nightmares, and the images still cling to me and often make me shake from time to time. A medium came to my house and did 'healing' on me, she said i was full of fear - knowing nothing of the incident. My mother reassured me that i did the right thing, as i did tell the girls to leave her alone, when they said if she came out they'd do it all again.
